Pictures to take you through 4-1/2 months

Still loves the swing

And napping on Daddy's chest

Tate had his first plane ride to visit his two great grandpas in Wisconsin. He was a champ traveler and picked up a lot of new fans along the way.

Carrie (mommy's cousin) wore me out

I did this all by myself, maybe I was born to be a prayer warrior, or maybe Evan is just rubbing off on me :).

Talking is hard work!

I liked it when Tonya (mommy's cousin) held me. I got lots of snuggles on this trip.

Great Grandpa Mac was good at making me smile

It was fun at Great Aunt Sue and Great Uncle Art's house

Great Grandpa Art was happy to meet me too.

And, no trip is complete without practicing our sitting skills

And our leaning skills too :)

Looking cute is the easy part

And finally, Tate and his cousin Sam. I think they will be very good friends - what do you think?

10 WEEKS OLD ALREADY!

Being a mom is so fun! Here are some pics to bring you up to date. Tate is now 10-1/2 weeks old, amazing how time flies. He regularly smiles, giggles, and jabbers. I think he talks more than Noah and I put together :). Some of these are a little blurry because they were taken with my phone, but still worth posting I think. I will have to work on carrying the camera around.

I can't help but think he is already up to something

I don't remember being this happy the first time I wore jeans

Since Tate comes to the office with me, I thought he better start looking the part :)

Tate is here!

Tate Brent Martin graced the world with his presence on December 16, 2008 at 6:32 a.m. My beloved sister-in-law made it here by 2 a.m. the night before, just in time to begin timing my contractions, which had started a half hour earlier. I will spare you the details, but suffice it to say that Tate is healthy, I am healthy, Noah is healthy :) and we are finally getting a little more sleep now that Tate is 3-1/2 weeks old.

Thanks to all of you who prayed for me throughout my pregnancy, and a special thanks to those who woke up in the middle of that exact night to pray for me, not knowing why. God used you to show us just how much He loves us. Sometimes He just blows me away.

As we embark on this journey called parenthood, we will need every ounce of God's wisdom we can get. God has put you in our life for a reason and we are thankful to call you our friend.

Enjoy some pics of our new little guy!

First bubble bath with mom during my first week of life

Then I got to hang out with Grandma Pat

Not very impressed with the car seat

Well, I guess it's okay . . . sometimes.

Two weeks old already . . . how time flies

First bath in my own tub

Four weeks now - and counting
